We recently made a $250.00 donation to KAN Cool for School, an excellent local organization that furnishes school supplies to children in need throughout Manitowoc County. We encourage you to support the efforts of KAN Cool for School as well! Several months ago, we told you about a donation our Club made to a statewide initiative of the Lions to support families dealing with childhood cancer. To date, $35,000 has been raised from 133 Lions Clubs and the goal is that this fund grows significantly in the months ahead. The funds raised are being distributed to five non-profit organizations that support families around Wisconsin. The Francis Creek Lions Club is proud to play a part in this effort. Do you want to make a difference in our community as well as the state, country and world? You can do so by joining our Lions Club and we encourage you to “check us out”. Our next meeting will be Wednesday, March 27 at the Francis Creek Sportsman's Club, beginning with a social at 6:00 p.m. and the meeting and a meal at 6:30 p.m. Our group consists of men and women that enjoy our ability to serve others while enjoying each other's company. If you have any questions, please call Tony Smith at 920-901-4968. |
